Lorenzo’s Surprise Party

7–12-14

A surprise birthday party is fun for both the guests and the guest of honor. Planning a surprise birthday party takes some secrecy and just a little bit of trickery to pull off the perfect surprise. Karla knows exactly how to throw a great party. I am positive her guests are still talking about it and he was very surprised!
It is great to have an accomplice when planning a surprise birthday party. We felt just like that person we had a great time planning it with Karla and watching everything come together. The guests were very impressed with her food choices especially the coconut fired shrimp and the homemade martini grits station. The shrimp and sausage  jambalaya was the most popular toppings.

It was an amazing night and the love the couple have for one another was obvious to the whole room. I told Lorenzo’s he has an amazing wife. I could tell he already knew that. Karla topped it all off with a beautiful song to her birthday boy! Happy Birthday Lorenzo!

Perimeter Church’s Widows Luncheon

6–7-14

You could not have asked for a prettier day Saturday afternoon. What a wonderful day to have a garden party in honor of the Widows. A beautiful luncheon was planned for them with no detail left unturned. Everything they used to decorate was based around a garden theme and oh so cute. The organizers put a lot of hard work into the celebration. The arugula salad with watermelon and feta was so good. It went perfect with the cornbread muffins and homemade biscuits. The main meal of baked ham, grilled pineapple, green beans with dill, brown sugar carrots and Macaroni and cheese was the BEST! The amazing day was topped off with an Ice-Cream bar that everyone enjoyed so much! Thanks again for trusting Carlyle House to host your special day again this year!

Open House

5–18-14

Thanks to everyone for making our open house such a success. I know it was a busy time of year to do it. Having to push the date from April to May because we were getting beautiful new wood floors made it even more of a challenge. A special thanks to Black Tie Events, It’s My Party Rental, Abby’s Floral Design, Atlanta Wedding floral’s, POHP Events, and CG linen. Also thanks to all our great customers it was so nice to see you and hear how much you enjoyed everything!

Gerise, thank you and your staff for a very nice afternoon. We very much enjoyed our tasting and we’re looking forward to working with you. I even won some flowers!  Thank you again, I know that takes a lot of work and time.

Alex’s Bar Mitzvah

Alex’s Bar Mitzvah

Alex Bar Mitzvah

4–26-14

A Bar Mitzvah in Judaism, is a rite of passage from childhood to adulthood. It usually takes place on a Saturday morning, when a boy reaches the age of 13. The party is often later in the evening. It is generally a family affair with guests invited to participate in a ceremony and often in a party that follows. Alex had so much fun partying with all his friends and family. The kids enjoyed the kids buffet of “kid Friendly” food while the adults had a seated dinner of Filet Mignon & Chicken Marsala. Everyone loved all the food we got lots of compliments! The kids also had a great time running around, dancing, and take pictures in front of the Green screen! The night was topped off with a candy bar that is always a favorite! Congratulations to Alex!
