We love the tradition of a rehearsal dinner here at The Carlyle House! It’s such a special time where the bridal party, close friends, and families of the bride and groom come together to share a meal! AND… it was quite a meal full of yummy southern food and lots of good drink! The guests went home with a full stomach, for sure! What better way to calm the pre-wedding jitters! Best of luck to Kara and Parker!

From Parker’s Mom.…

Gerise,

First of all, thank you so much for everything you and all the Carlyle House staff did for us.  Our Rehearsal Dinner was great!  The house looked beautiful and was absolutely perfect for the occasion.  We had so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful everything was and how delicious the food was!  But most important, my son and his bride loved it and said it was everything they had hoped it would be.  Please pass along our thanks to everyone at the Carlyle House.  I would not hesitate to use the Carlyle House again or to recommend it to someone else.

Congratulations Kara and Parker!

Congratulations Nicole and Marc!

Congratulations Nicole and Marc!

Nicole was so sweet to work with. She wanted everything to be just perfect and had a vision of exactly what she wanted. Together with their family and friends they exchanged vows under the arbor on the terrace. It was a beautiful day for an outside wedding with no worries of rain.

She had a lot of great friends helping her with the decor and her vision came together. The guests loved the cocktail hour in the old house. When they moved to the ballroom for dinner they were very impressed with the menu Nicole and Marc had picked out. They LOVED the Salmon Wellington, New York Strip, and the Smashed Martini Potato Bar. There were lots of people complimenting the chef on how good everything was. She also had a friend make her cakes and they were so cute. We are so happy we got to part of such a wonderful wedding. Below is a note Nicole sent us the next day…

OMG! thank you & your staff for an amazing wedding. Marc & I couldn’t be happier. all the guests had fun too. I loved your venue & will definitely recommend it in the future! I’ll look for pics on Facebook! did you get our invitation?

Congratulations Nicole and Marc!

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs Williams!

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs Williams!

Stacie + Leon

10–25-14

Stacie and Leon made such a cute couple. Together with their friends and family they exchanged vows inside. The ceremony site was beautiful with its purple accents and candlelight. Their unity candle was so pretty with their last name engraved.

After the ceremony the guests enjoyed the appetizers. The biggest hit was the homemade martini grits bar. Everyone loved the grits with all of the fabulous toppings. The shrimp and sausage was the favorite topping! :0) Yummy!

When they moved to the ballroom they couldn’t believe there was more wonderful food for them to enjoy.

The M&M containers were so cute and a perfect favor for all the guests. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs Williams!

Congratulations Kristin and Brett!

Congratulations Kristin and Brett!

Congratulations Kristin and Brett!

10–17-14

There was no fretting about the weather on October 17, 2014. It was such a beautiful day with NO worries of rain! The ceremony site could not have been prettier with the red rose petals marking the way along with the candlelight from the gorgeous lanterns. Brett looked so ready to take Kristin’s hand from her father. The love was beaming from them and their family and friends.

After the ceremony everyone enjoyed appetizers, drinks, a carving station, and other stations with yummy items. The night was topped off by a delicious and beautiful wedding cake. The candy station as always was a big hit. We loved all the decor, Kristin did a great job personalizing it to fit them. We loved the table assignments and the names of the tables matching their photo ages! We overheard lots of people saying that was such a “great wedding!” Best of Luck to the Happy Couple!!! We had a great time being part of your very special day. :)

I think Rachel and Jeremiah pulled this off!

Rachel + Jeremiah

10–11-14

If I had to choose the number one thing that couples say they’re trying to do these days when it comes to their weddings, I would say one word: personalize. They want their wedding—and especially their ceremony—to really, truly, deeply reflect them. To not fit into some pre-existing cookie-cutter structure. They want their guests to leave their celebration saying, “Wow, that was so them.” I think Rachel and Jeremiah pulled this off!  From the lights over the ceremony, to the paper lanterns, mason jars with their initials, to the terrace games, the Chinese cookies and appetizers, and the unique table assignments everything was well thought out! Rachel was so positive it would all work perfectly there really wasn’t even a plan B. She just knew we would make it beautiful no matter what and we did!!! It turned out to be the most wonderful night after a lot of rain throughout the day. We LOVE the terrace so much it can rain cats and dogs and be dry 10 minutes later! We feel very fortunate to be a big part of such a big, beautiful wedding, Rachel and Jeremiah make a perfect couple!!! The LOVE between the two families was amazing and wonderful! :)
