Congratulations Kristin and Brett!

10–17-14

There was no fretting about the weather on October 17, 2014. It was such a beautiful day with NO worries of rain! The ceremony site could not have been prettier with the red rose petals marking the way along with the candlelight from the gorgeous lanterns. Brett looked so ready to take Kristin’s hand from her father. The love was beaming from them and their family and friends.

After the ceremony everyone enjoyed appetizers, drinks, a carving station, and other stations with yummy items. The night was topped off by a delicious and beautiful wedding cake. The candy station as always was a big hit. We loved all the decor, Kristin did a great job personalizing it to fit them. We loved the table assignments and the names of the tables matching their photo ages! We overheard lots of people saying that was such a “great wedding!” Best of Luck to the Happy Couple!!! We had a great time being part of your very special day. :)

I think Rachel and Jeremiah pulled this off!

If I had to choose the number one thing that couples say they’re trying to do these days when it comes to their weddings, I would say one word: personalize. They want their wedding—and especially their ceremony—to really, truly, deeply reflect them. To not fit into some pre-existing cookie-cutter structure. They want their guests to leave their celebration saying, “Wow, that was so them.” I think Rachel and Jeremiah pulled this off!  From the lights over the ceremony, to the paper lanterns, mason jars with their initials, to the terrace games, the Chinese cookies and appetizers, and the unique table assignments everything was well thought out! Rachel was so positive it would all work perfectly there really wasn’t even a plan B. She just knew we would make it beautiful no matter what and we did!!! It turned out to be the most wonderful night after a lot of rain throughout the day. We LOVE the terrace so much it can rain cats and dogs and be dry 10 minutes later! We feel very fortunate to be a big part of such a big, beautiful wedding, Rachel and Jeremiah make a perfect couple!!! The LOVE between the two families was amazing and wonderful! :)

The National Charity League (NLC) had their Senior Presentation Day again with us this year! I know the Daughter’s Reflection luncheon is a very special time for everyone. The girls and moms loved the mixed green salad with grilled chicken and glazed pecans. The dessert was a huge hit, fresh fruit with a chocolate cup piled with chocolate mousse, the plates came back all empty! :) The decorations were beautiful as well as the weather! We are so glad everyone had a great time at The Carlyle House. Thank you National Charity League (NCL) for all you guys do for the community, and for allowing the 173 Carlyle House to host you Senior Presentation Day.

Congratulations Brett and Kelli!

Fall is one of the most popular times to plan a wedding — and for good reason! Gorgeous natural foliage and temperate weather make for great fall weddings. The weather could not have been more amazing this weekend for the first wedding of October. Nobody could have ordered up a prettier day! Kelli and Brett had a great group of family and friends all of which were very complimentary about the facility. Everyone enjoyed the cocktail hour with delicious appetizers. They were even more impressed when they moved down to the ballroom for a seated dinner with a yummy salad, a twin entree of petite Filet Mignon and chicken picatta and beautifully prepared assorted desserts! Let’s don’t forget the wedding cake.….so PRETTY and GOOD! Kelli and Brett make a great couple, I am sure they will enjoy many years of happiness together!!!! Congratulations Brett and Kelli!

Wow! The 173 Carlyle House staff is so touched and thankful for such kind words. It’s emails like this that make all our efforts worth it. In fact we were so touched that we wanted to share the sentiments.

Good Afternoon Gerise – This is so late, but it has been a busy week at work since I got back.  I just wanted you to know that you were absolutely the most wonderful person to help us and the most wonderful facility I could have ever imagined us working with for Megan’s dream wedding.  It was a pleasure getting to know you and the wedding went off without a hitch!  Thank you for all you did to help make this such a memorable experience for everyone.  The food was wonderful, the servers were so helpful and prompt and the of course, you and the facility, are top notch!  I meant to get back to you earlier this week, but I want to tell you now that everyone enjoyed everything about the wedding and reception, and for the most part, that is because of you!  Blessings to you and I am really glad that God saw fit for us to work together in his divine timing!  I will surely recommend The Carlyle House to anyone who is looking for a venue and hope the rest of the year is top notch for you and the whole crew!  Blessings, Deb Lewis
