Welcome to the Carlyle House
Welcome to the Carlyle House
What a beautiful fall day it was on November 12, 2016. The mature trees were bright red, orange, and yellow. They had finally changed for this amazing wedding reception. It could not have been a prettier evening. The ceremony was at a nearby Catholic Church when the guests arrived they headed for the old house for light appetizers. The guests enjoyed looking at all the pictures spread out on the 4 mantels and the bookshelf! They also loved looking at the 1800’s structure of the original part of the house. Several asked questions about the house. AND…of course they LOVED the meatballs, spinach dip, and hummus platter.
Moving on to dinner the guests enjoyed a full meal. The Chicken Marsala, salmon, and squash casserole are always a huge hit. Everybody always wants the recipe for the squash! A perfect side for a fall wedding. The cookie station was a SWEET end to the wonderful evening!!!
At 50, we’re often the best version of ourselves we’ve ever been. That is something eminently worth celebrating! However you decide to celebrate your 50th year, the key is to remember that it really is all about you. It doesn’t matter how you want to ring in the date, just as long as it reflects who you are and what makes you happy. We personally think the best place to celebrate a 50th birthday party is here at the Carlyle House! April, Pete’s wife, did an amazing job setting up the party. There was lots of food, drink, and cigars! The Jack and Coke favors were AWESOME everyone loved them. The cake was really cool too The night clearly represented Pete and was so much fun! Happy Birthday, Pete!
We had so much fun hosting Justin and Megan’s rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. They had a beautiful ceremony out on the terrace. The tent, flowers, lighting, and lanterns were perfect. The two families were so nice and all their friends were great. We loved the way they decorated everything. A lot of great DIY stuff! In the 1800’s part of the house, they had lots of pictures and cute signs. Such a perfect way to represent Megan and Justin, who did I mention, are a PERFECT couple! Everyone enjoyed looking at all the pictures and items that were in each room during the cocktail hour. After appetizers, they all enjoyed dinner in the ballroom followed by dancing with, Jeff Braner the DJ, on the terrace. Lots of eating, drinking, dancing, and mingling into the night. Congratulations to Justin and Megan you guys make a great couple! :)
Having a wedding reception and the rehearsal dinner at the same location can simplify both the planning and the flow of the weekend. We really got to know Megan and Justin and both sides of the families this weekend. What wonderful, kind, and “FUN” people they all were. Everyone LOVED the rehearsal dinner and the Italian themed meal they did. The pasta station was a huge hit and who doesn’t love fried mozzarella, chicken Parmesan, garlic bread, and Caesar salad. The DVD was also really fun to watch. Stay tuned for more pictures of their wonderful wedding the following day…
