Stacie + Leon
Stacie and Leon made such a cute couple. Together with their friends and family they exchanged vows inside. The ceremony site was beautiful with its purple accents and candlelight. Their unity candle was so pretty with their last name engraved.
After the ceremony the guests enjoyed the appetizers. The biggest hit was the homemade martini grits bar. Everyone loved the grits with all of the fabulous toppings. The shrimp and sausage was the favorite topping! :0) Yummy!
When they moved to the ballroom they couldn’t believe there was more wonderful food for them to enjoy.
The M&M containers were so cute and a perfect favor for all the guests. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs Williams!
Heart for Africa
Heart for Africa is a Christian non-profit 501©3 public charity. Working alongside churches in Swaziland, they are providing care and hope for a future for children in this small African nation. Through short term service trips, child sponsorship, and large fund raising programs, they are working to deliver quality care, shelter, food, water, clothing, health care, and education to the orphaned and vulnerable children of Swaziland. We enjoyed seeing what they do while they hosted their successful fundraiser here at The Carlyle House! Everyone enjoyed the wine pairing meal with 4 courses of yummy food and wine. They are such nice, caring, and hardworking people for the children, what a wonderful cause.
Congratulations Kristin and Brett!
There was no fretting about the weather on October 17, 2014. It was such a beautiful day with NO worries of rain! The ceremony site could not have been prettier with the red rose petals marking the way along with the candlelight from the gorgeous lanterns. Brett looked so ready to take Kristin’s hand from her father. The love was beaming from them and their family and friends.
After the ceremony everyone enjoyed appetizers, drinks, a carving station, and other stations with yummy items. The night was topped off by a delicious and beautiful wedding cake. The candy station as always was a big hit. We loved all the decor, Kristin did a great job personalizing it to fit them. We loved the table assignments and the names of the tables matching their photo ages! We overheard lots of people saying that was such a “great wedding!” Best of Luck to the Happy Couple!!! We had a great time being part of your very special day. :)
Rachel + Jeremiah
If I had to choose the number one thing that couples say they’re trying to do these days when it comes to their weddings, I would say one word: personalize. They want their wedding—and especially their ceremony—to really, truly, deeply reflect them. To not fit into some pre-existing cookie-cutter structure. They want their guests to leave their celebration saying, “Wow, that was so them.” I think Rachel and Jeremiah pulled this off! From the lights over the ceremony, to the paper lanterns, mason jars with their initials, to the terrace games, the Chinese cookies and appetizers, and the unique table assignments everything was well thought out! Rachel was so positive it would all work perfectly there really wasn’t even a plan B. She just knew we would make it beautiful no matter what and we did!!! It turned out to be the most wonderful night after a lot of rain throughout the day. We LOVE the terrace so much it can rain cats and dogs and be dry 10 minutes later! We feel very fortunate to be a big part of such a big, beautiful wedding, Rachel and Jeremiah make a perfect couple!!! The LOVE between the two families was amazing and wonderful! :)
The National Charity League (NLC) had their Senior Presentation Day again with us this year! I know the Daughter’s Reflection luncheon is a very special time for everyone. The girls and moms loved the mixed green salad with grilled chicken and glazed pecans. The dessert was a huge hit, fresh fruit with a chocolate cup piled with chocolate mousse, the plates came back all empty! :) The decorations were beautiful as well as the weather! We are so glad everyone had a great time at The Carlyle House. Thank you National Charity League (NCL) for all you guys do for the community, and for allowing the 173 Carlyle House to host you Senior Presentation Day.
