Welcome to the Carlyle House
Welcome to the Carlyle House
Dorian and Micah
We love July weddings they are so beautiful here at The Carlyle House. There are so many flowers in full bloom that just add a lot of color and atmosphere.
Sunflowers are one of the flowers that everyone seems to really love. I am not sure if it is the sunny color they sport or the fact that they seem to just scream happiness but they can really make a wedding pop with color. Dorian chose the sunflower as her flower of choice at her wedding and worked it into every area of her decor.
The appetizers were a huge hit everyone always gets really excited to see shrimp cocktail. The Roasted Ribeye and Salmon Wellington were also real popular. They also had 2 more stations of food. Everyone LOVED THE FOOD.… below is a PS the bride sent us.….
PS Everyone has been raving about the food! We are so happy we had our reception with you!
What a great reception it was too. I have no doubt everyone did take their favor of seeds and went home to plant them and watch the love of the bride and groom grow. What a fantastic couple!!!

There is something seriously romantic about the south, and this Georgian affair is no exception. From the couple and their contagious kind of love, two great families, and wonderful friends coming together to celebrate their beautiful marriage!
They got married at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church and then everyone arrived at the Carlyle House for the reception. They had great cocktails and appetizers to start and then the 225 guests sat down for a seated dinner. Everyone loved the meal, the strawberries Romanoff was a huge hit! After dancing on the terrace to a wonderful 10 piece band before the night ended they were able to snack again on Chicken tenders. Everyone left totally full and very HAPPY. We were so excited when they choose us to do their 2nd daughters reception. They are the nicest family and we consider ourselves lucky to be part of their important day. Best of luck to the very SWEET couple!

Having a wedding in July can come with many benefits. Schools are out of session, making travel easier for guests. At The Carlyle House there are a variety of in-season flowers all around the terrace and yard. July can also have great weather that is not too hot or cold, and a lower likelihood of spring showers.
We had so much fun hosting this wedding there were guests from all over the world. The Bride and Groom couldn’t have been nicer or more perfect for each other! The chef had fun making some traditional Czech food too. Everyone loved the food and the atmosphere, we got lots of compliments on everything. Be sure to check out the beautiful pictures!

This relaxed summer soiree is all you need to brighten up your day. What a beautiful weekend it was for a wedding. Strangely summer has been very hot this year but the night was pleasant . Everyone’s favorite part of the wedding normally is the cocktail hour. The best food, lots of everything, and a chance to mix and mingle. However, I would say everyone loved the seated dinner in the ballroom. They all got to choose between Filet Mignon, Salmon Wellington, and Chicken Picatta and a deliciously strawberry salad which is always a crowd favorite. We loved all the decor and the color pallet, so BEAUTIFUL!!! We really enjoyed getting to be part of this event. Everyone was so nice and you couldn’t have asked for better guests! Wishing you many years of happiness Cara and Rick!
