Mother-Daughter Dinner

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Janousek

I am writing to express my great appreciation for your help with the Catholic Girls Club Mother-Daughter Dinner on May 16, 1999. I accepted many compliments on the evening, all the while knowing that you truly made it possible and make us look good!

Since this was something we had not attempted before, we were clueless as to how to proceed or what numbers we might have. Because of procrastinators it looked for a   while like we would have to cancel the dinner completely– a situation which would have been a major disappointment to the girls and a real loss for the mothers. But because of your flexibility and willingness to accommodate us, we went ahead— gained those last minute additions— and had a very successful event.

I have put off writing this letter because to just say “Thank you” seemed so inadequate. I loved the Carlyle House. Its setting and style was perfect for a mother-daughter gathering. The food was delicious and the service was perfect. Everyone was wonderfully calm in the face of my panic and able to handle every request. I could not be happier with the way it turned out.

Please accept my unending gratitude along with a novena of rosaries beginning June 8, 1999 for the intentions of each of you. It was a joy to work with you. God bless you!

Sincerely,
Christine Caveness
