Rebekah and Ethan’s Rehearsal Dinner + Welcome Party

We loved hosting this beautiful couple’s whole wedding weekend here at the 173 Carlyle House in historic Norcross. Friday night we did Rebekah and Ethan’s Rehearsal Dinner, welcome party, and Saturday night we hosted their wedding reception.

 

The rehearsal dinner is a great opportunity for your two families to spend time together before the wedding day in a not-so-hectic setting. Take advantage of the relaxed environment, full of happy anticipation—come wedding night, you’ll most likely be pulled in too many directions to put in quality time with anyone. The ultimate goal is to relieve some pre-wedding tension and make everyone feel comfortable with the upcoming nuptials, while not upstaging the main event. We loved the Gluten and dairy-free menu they picked out. All the Mexican food was a huge hit.

 

After the rehearsal dinner, all the out-of-town guests started arriving for a dessert reception. It couldn’t have been more perfect and everyone loved it. Stay tuned for the wedding photos!

Rebecca and Jack’s Wedding

When I think about Rebecca and Jack’s Wedding reception I think… FUN, FUN, FUN… Rebecca and Jack have such a joyful connection they are just adorable together. After the cocktail hour, everyone moved to the ballroom to watch, on the big screen, their actual very intimate ceremony that had happened months before. It was just perfect their dogs were great witnesses to such a beautiful ceremony!

Having a wedding reception in June can come with many benefits.  Schools are out of session, making travel easier for guests.  At The Carlyle House, there are a variety of in-season flowers all around the terrace and yard. There is also lots of Green foliage around making a beautiful natural backdrop.  June can also have great weather that is not too hot or cold, and a lower likelihood of spring showers. AND…. the air in the ballroom is the BEST!

The bride and groom have such great energy! Every detail of the reception they planned was perfect. The food was amazing and if you like sweets Carlyle House was the place to be. They had fruit with chocolate sauce, cupcakes, and later in the evening, King of Pops came! The guests LOVED this wedding reception. Congratulations to the beautiful bride and handsome groom we are so happy you chose us to host your incredible wedding reception!

Hannah and Alex’s Rehearsal Dinner

Hannah and Alex’s rehearsal dinner at the 173 Carlyle House was just perfect! The rehearsal dinner is a great opportunity for two families to spend time together before the wedding day in a not-so-hectic setting. Take advantage of the relaxed environment, full of happy anticipation—come wedding night, you’ll most likely be pulled in too many directions to put in quality time with anyone. The ultimate goal is to relieve some prewedding tension and make everyone feel comfortable with the upcoming nuptials, while not upstaging the main event.

Everyone loved being outside sitting on the porch, playing corn hole, and enjoying the appetizers while rocking in the rocking chairs. They also loved looking at all their old pictures on the mantels. The bride and groom have pretty much known each other most their life so the pictures we really special. The guests were even more impressed when they moved to the ballroom for a beautiful seated dinner. I don’t think there was a better place to be then at the 173 Carlyle House in historic Norcross on this May night!!!

Ethan and Janis Wedding

We caught our first glimpse of fall on September 2, 2017, and it was wonderful! It was a little bit cooler which was unexpected this early in September. What a great day to have a wedding reception in historic Norcross. The Ethan and Janis wedding was perfect and the bride and groom couldn’t have been happier. What a FUN couple! The guests enjoyed all the beverages and appetizers on the terrace outside.

Everyone was even more impressed when they moved to the ballroom for a full meal with lots more beverages, yummy food, delicious assorted desserts, and macarons. We LOVED their Newspaper….The Daily Vow, Our Wedding Day. It really was priceless and the cutest thing we have ever seen! It was a beautiful wedding reception and memorable party celebrating these two love birds! We are so lucky they chose, The Carlyle House, to host their special day!
